Aviation Nation Nellis Airshow Nov 12-13

Indian Springs is an Air Force base just northwest of our Las Vegas practice area. It is located on the edge of restricted airspace always teasing us from 10 miles away . One of the reasons it is restricted happens to be this vehicle. The UAV or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle is a huge remote controlled warrior that plays a paramount role in military strategy . It can loiter, target , coordinate, and kill from miles above the earth without putting a single pilot's life in danger. The pilot, in fact sits comfortably back at the base gazing into a computer screen controlling every move with a joystick . Indian Springs is one of the largest fleets of UAV's in the world and it is right in our back yard. We never ever see them but i would be willing to wager that they see us all the time !
