You Can Find Me In Saint Louey
Nellie would have been proud of the trip we just took to
St Louis. JRM shacked us up in the Hilton downtown practically under the Arch.
The Muddy Mississippi and the Gateway to the West were sights to behold on my first trip to this area. Screaming out of Statesville headfirst into a 20 knot wind put us at CPS Cahokia Downtown St Louis in 2 hours even. After that it was fair game so we went riverside for what seemed to be a lil gathering. It happened to be a lil more than that. Blues Traveler was playing live on a shutdown bridge and all kinds of madness was unfolding before our eyes. I think i like this stop on the tour eh. Steve , Michelle, and I only had one night here so we made haste. The city screams history but that is the basis for character i think only St Louis can preserve. Got to see the home of both the Cards and the Rams so that was memorable also. As for the team and the race it was another night race at The Gateway. Shane ran his first Busch Race in the Make a Wish Foundation Car and finished a comfortable 26th. Mark and the 88 Navy walked away with 24 th. Carl Edwards walked with the W. These guys are gonna win some races. CLICK 4 THE ENROUTE VIDEO

Goodys 250 at MTV
Today was a very special day for me to spend some quality time with the family . Dad and i got up this morning with the intentions of driving 2 1\2 hours up to Martinsville Va for the
Goodys 250 Busch Race. Instead i got the honor of flying with him the 28 miles and 22 minuites from Mt Airy, we saved a ton of time. Seems there is no easy way to drive it so we just hopped in the Alarus and blasted off. He got the leg up and i got the leg back. I ll have to say the old man still has it . He greased the landing into MTV.
So much fun to get back in a bugsmasher for some oooohs and ahhhhs 3000 ft over the landscape. Cody and his girl Amy who were also attending the race were kind enough to come pick us up at the airport. Janet and drew were there too so the reunion was welcomed. On the contrary to what you probably think i don t get to attend very many festivities at the race track. Being the flight crew for
Jr Motorsports requires we hang out behind the scenes at the airport in case of any misfortune with the car. In the instance we wad one up these guys are ready to go home. It almost seems like the race doesn t stop with these guys ever, the first one in bed apparantly is the winner of the post race scurry home. Mark started a firm 4 th on the pole and a lil bad luck landed us a respectable 16 th place. Not too bad guys, there is always next week.
Kevin Harvick took home the win and a granfather clock this weekend. Hope that clock looks good your living room Delaina. St Louis here we come ! ! !
Going Coastal
Wed July 20 wasn t like every other trip i take to
Myrtle Beach. This time i had a couple days to cut loose and see all my cats on the ocean! This would be my spiritual healing for the month. Chaz in town is the reason for the celebration this week, he was an old roomate in Las Vegas. Being it his first time seeing the Atlantic Ocean we hooped it up IFR in the Sundowner to HYW courtesy of Johnny . Thanks by the way! Chaz just got hired by Mesa Airlines and he spent a non rev ticket on the trip to NC. I once again crashed Brian and Stacey's couch (thanks also) in Socastee for a couple days, i got to snake the river with the old roomey Matt, Adam and i took these cute chickadees for a nightime flight over the coastline, and i got to visit with everyone at NAIA Aviation Institute. After the flight it seemed fit to go shoot some pool and get rehydrated at the
Jackass Saloon right outside of Coastal Carolina Univ. Highly Recomended ! The rest of the story happens to be
censored . Friday i sadly had to climb in 968 for a cloudy solo trek home. I was in the soup single pilot for over an hour at 6k , i need the solo inst. practice anyway. It is this moment i think to myself it can t get much better than this, zipping thru these huge towering cumulus at 140 knots in a small airplane is a welcome change of pace for me right now. All the cares seem to melt away when you concentrate on the job at hand. This is my life .......My life in the fast lane.
250 in Daytona
This week our task , get the
JRM crowd safely to the
firecracker weekend in Daytona Beach FL . Port Orange was a good change of pace for us as the whole flight crew stayed together in an airport lake house at Spruce Creek which was unbelievable . This marks a milestone for myself because we really had a chance to sit down and talk about future plans within the flight department as well as company . Sponsor unbenounced to even us , we will kick off another Busch racing team next month that will star the Hooters Pro Cup driver Shane Huffman . It is exciting to see this company grow as a whole and who could go wrong with a name like
Earnhardt . Uncle Jr deserves a big congrats for the flawless performance winning the Winn Dixie 250 Busch Race last night! Get Some !!!
