Totally Focused ! ! !

Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas NV is the home to the USAF Thunderbirds Demo Team. The Aviation Nation Airshow is their welcome home celebration and marks the last public performance of the year. They will switch up alot of the staff this year so it was an emotional show for everyone. On top of that, most of the force stationed here at Nellis has been deployed to the Gulf , it is a reminder of loved ones and feeling of pride to attend the performance.A thanks goes out to all the Men and Women that have ever been stationed accross the globe on this Veterans Day!! Give Me The Keys

Yours truly standing in the Aura of the most intimidating aircraft on the airshow circuit today . The Oracle Pitts flown by Sean D Tucker is what spawned my fascination with flying upside down. I saw him first at Oshkosh 93 doing things in his Pitts that airplanes are not meant to do. Sean you are an inspiration to all of us , keep doing what you do and we will keep watching in amazement! Sean flies our Nellis AFB airshow in 2 days ! 11/9/05 Posted by Picasa http://www.oracle.com/cluboracle/teamoracle/index.html

Aviation Nation Nellis Airshow Nov 12-13

Indian Springs is an Air Force base just northwest of our Las Vegas practice area. It is located on the edge of restricted airspace always teasing us from 10 miles away . One of the reasons it is restricted happens to be this vehicle. The UAV or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle is a huge remote controlled warrior that plays a paramount role in military strategy . It can loiter, target , coordinate, and kill from miles above the earth without putting a single pilot's life in danger. The pilot, in fact sits comfortably back at the base gazing into a computer screen controlling every move with a joystick . Indian Springs is one of the largest fleets of UAV's in the world and it is right in our back yard. We never ever see them but i would be willing to wager that they see us all the time ! JSF Is Around the Corner

Anybody who is anybody in aviation has at least heard a peep, a rumor, or a lie about the JSF ( Joint Strike Fighter). This is a conservative mach up of the things to come in air superiority. Readers digest version states , the JSF will be the standard ship employeed by the Navy, Air Force, and Marines with a thrust vectoring system that will accomadate all three counterparts and save money using a standard parts supply for all three. In escense the new workhorse is going to be this aircraft and you can call it a multi role airplane.i look forward to seeing this develop and hope it will be the answer Uncle Sam has been asking for . The New Kid In Town

The VF-22 Raptor put on a demo today showing us why the US is presently the most feared airpower in the world . The ship still has many secrets and is the most advanced tactical fighter on the planet . Thrust vectoring gives it a distinct advantage over all other conventional fighters in the sky today. What a marvel of modern technology! Posted by Picasa

German Floater

Sierra Hotel

Silver State Helicopters operates this Bell UH-1H Huey out of my home airport. I love the paint scheme on this beast . They are the largest heli flight school around and we all work out of the same hanger. Posted by Picasa
