If you are asking yourself "Is that a runway?" then the answer is yes , but it is actually a carving in the trees somewhere in Washington St that airplanes land on, not just a runway. When most people think of a runway they envision a long piece of asphalt with lights and a control tower. For some of us this is just another challenge . North Carolina is chocked full of these little private strips encompassed in trees and powerlines like a crosswind obstacle course. This picture is not mine however, my old roomate Chaz sent this pic to me and i loved it. We do not see this in Las Vegas because there is no friggin grass,It makes me feel right at home !
