You are looking at the approach into Death Valley and basically you have to glide in like a manhole cover from 7000 ft over this ridge to an elevation of -211 ft below sea level. That makes your head feel like it is going to implode. It is wicked how the valley floor is white as snow. What a beautiful place the Mojave.
